ETS2 UK Rework Inverness preview used for the current update and DLC roadmap

Quick answer

The ETS2 roadmap currently has five clear states: 1.60 is stable; 1.61 is an Experimental Beta; Holland Style is released; Coaches, Iceland, Isle of Ireland, and Soul of Anatolia are announced with no release date; and the UK Rework remains an active development project. Treat every unannounced date as TBA.

This ETS2 roadmap separates what you can play now from what is only being tested or developed. It was last verified on July 30, 2026 and does not predict release dates.

Stable Now: ETS2 1.60

Version 1.60 is the current stable baseline. The update adds Game Radio, expanded Job Details, GPS arrival information, selectable rest timing, improved materials on selected trucks, lighting changes, and Volvo FH Series 6 aero parts.

Use:

Testing Now: ETS2 1.61 Experimental Beta

Version 1.61 is testing a Multi-Function Display and redesigned In-Game Menu. The initial beta can include bugs, crashes, English-only interface text, and mod incompatibility.

Most players should wait. If you want to test it, follow the 1.61 Experimental Beta Guide, back up your profile, and use a clean test career.

Announced Coaches DLC

The Coaches project has three confirmed vehicles:

  • Scania Touring.
  • Volvo 9700 DD.
  • MAN Lion's Coach.

SCS has also described scheduled passenger jobs, central and remote stops, destination displays, sun visors, and coach lighting features. The Steam page still says To be announced.

Use the ETS2 Coaches DLC Guide for the consolidated status and the MAN Lion's Coach Preview for the vehicle-specific page.

Announced Map DLC: All TBA

Iceland

The Iceland map page covers the officially announced standalone expansion and its volcanic, coastal, and highland scenery. Steam has not published a release date.

Isle of Ireland

The Isle of Ireland map page covers the announced island expansion, including confirmed cities such as Dublin, Belfast, Cork, and Galway. The N59/Connemara development preview adds recent road detail, but not a launch date.

Soul of Anatolia

The Soul of Anatolia map page covers the announced expansion into Türkiye's interior. Official screenshots and asset previews show active development; Steam still lists the release as TBA.

Plan purchases around roads you can drive now, and keep announced TBA projects on a separate wishlist.

UK Rework: Development Project, Not DLC With a Date

The UK Rework page tracks the ongoing modernization of the base-game United Kingdom. SCS published an Inverness preview in July 2026, but did not announce a final completion date.

Treat city previews as progress markers. They do not prove that the full UK Rework will ship in the same year.

Released DLC: Holland Style

The Holland Style Tuning Pack was released on June 30, 2026. It belongs in the available-now DLC list rather than the TBA roadmap. Use ETS2 DLC List and Buying Order to decide whether tuning content fits your budget after map expansions.

Practical Player Roadmap

  1. Stay on stable 1.60 unless you intentionally want beta testing.
  2. Back up profiles before any version or mod change.
  3. Learn controls, rest, route planning, and job timing.
  4. Buy released map DLC for route variety before speculative purchases.
  5. Wishlist announced DLC instead of planning around an invented date.
  6. Recheck official pages when SCS publishes a release announcement.

FAQ

Is there one official ETS2 roadmap?

SCS publishes individual updates, previews, and Steam listings. This ETS2Hub page organizes those official states into one player-facing roadmap.

Will Coaches or the new maps release in 2026?

No official release year is currently confirmed. Their Steam pages say To be announced.

Does a 1.61 beta mean 1.61 will release soon?

It confirms public testing, not a deadline. Features can change and the beta can last as long as SCS needs.

Where should a beginner start?

Use the ETS2 Beginner Roadmap, then the DLC buying order and Mods Guide.
