United Kingdom Rework
A major base-map rework project intended to bring ETS2's United Kingdom up to modern map standards.
Featured cities: London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff

The United Kingdom is one of ETS2's oldest and most requested rework areas. A full rework matters because the UK has different road rules, different map scale expectations, and a strong identity inside the game's base world.
Why the Rework Is Complex
The UK is not just another mainland refresh:
- Left-hand traffic changes junction logic.
- Older base-map geometry needs deep rebuilding.
- The region has a different legacy scale.
- Ports and ferry links are central to route planning.
- Players expect recognizable British road character.
What Would Make It Strong
| Feature | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Better city approaches | UK cities currently need modern density and identity |
| Updated motorway network | Long routes should feel more natural |
| Improved ports | Ferry-based logistics are central to the island |
| Regional landmarks | Helps the UK feel specific rather than generic |
| Stronger countryside roads | Rural Britain can add slower, tighter driving |
Best Player Fit
Every ETS2 player benefits because this is base-map work. It is especially important for new players, UK-based fans, and anyone using Britain as a gateway to Ireland or mainland Europe.
